This month, our students participated in the annual LAS Cowbell Games! This fun week of activities was a great way to get into the spirit of friendly competition and have fun with friends. At LAS, we pride ourselves on offering a diverse range of athletics and activities that allow our students to push themselves out of their comfort zones. Whether competing in football matches against other schools, exploring the Alps through hiking, or trying a new instrument in the rock band, every student can find something that fits with them at LAS.
The Cowbell Games is a week that brings out the best in our community and allows students to showcase their skills and talents in a variety of activities. Monday started with curling, flag-making, and five-a-side football and ended with the Class of 2026 taking the early lead. Day two was in the MMAC, with wrestling, limbo, an obstacle course, and many other games! Students were also awarded points for how much noise and hype they made for their teams, which really for the crowds involved! By the end of the second day, the Class of 2026 were still in the lead, closely followed by the Class of 2025.
Wednesday was the biggest day of activities, and our students headed up the mountain for ski races, slopestyle competitions, snow sculpture contests, and an Alpage challenge. It was great to be up on the mountain as our ski season comes to an end. Our students loved making the most of the snow and putting their winter sports skills to the test! The Class of 2026 was still in the lead but closely followed by the Class of 2025 and the Class of 2027! The last day was a tug-of-war competition: the ultimate test of strength! Well done to all our students for putting in so much effort throughout the week and a special congratulations to the Class of 2026 for being the champions this year!
The Cowbell Games show the spirit of LAS—teamwork, perseverance, and fun! Seeing our students step up, cheer each other on, and show their talents across so many different activities was fantastic. A huge congratulations to all participants and to this year’s champions, the Class of 2026, for their well-earned victory. Whether on the slopes, in the gym, or on the field, this week was a fantastic celebration of our community’s spirit!
